Always at a restaurant. Gracies Luncheonette shot by Alex Vitela
Hi, I’m Gabrielle.
I’m a writer, content strategist, and multidisciplinary creative based on the West Coast, traveling often to New York City. My work lives at the intersection of food, storytelling, and digital marketing with a focus on queer community, identity, and culture.
Over the past decade, I’ve partnered with the James Beard Foundation, Collective Retreats, Regalis Foods, and hospitality groups across NYC and LA, helping shape content strategy for food and beverage brands across both D2C and B2B sectors. In 2022, I was named one of the “12 under 35” by the Specialty Food Association, and in 2023, my creative work was recognized by Leo Burnett as part of ELVTR’s Creative Advertising program.
As a writer, my voice has appeared in both digital and print publications such as Business Insider, Gastronomica, Delish, Esquire, Resy, and Good Housekeeping, among others. This past April, I spoke at the University of Oregon on effective pitching for food, beverage, and hospitality brands.
In 2020, I co-founded the Queer Food Foundation, a platform and resource for LGBTQ+ folks in food, and recently launched Pantry Magazine, a queer food journal exploring culture, recipes, and community, which will be presented at Association for the Study of Food and Society this June.
In 2024, I spoke on teaching queer food curriculum at Boston University’s Queer Food Conference, and led a workshop on content strategy and social distribution at Whetstone Media’s HONE Narrative Workshop.
I'm available for creative consulting, content strategy & writing, editorial projects, and collaborations. Please reach out hello[@] gabriellelenart.com.
